Shelly Roder

Board Vice-President

Shelly hails from the corn fields of Iowa but has found her home in Milwaukee since 2006, where she has served as the Director of Cap Corps Midwest and the Director of Outreach for the Cathedral of St. John prior to joining Franciscan Peacemakers.  At Franciscan Peacemakers, she worked in Communications and Marketing before transitioning to a consultant role while working as a member of the Board.  A graduate of Creighton University, where she studied Theology and Justice and Peace Studies, Shelly is passionate about community building and racial reconciliation.

Prior to moving to Milwaukee, Shelly co-founded the Gubbio Project, a peacemaking initiative providing daytime sanctuary to people who are homeless in St. Boniface Church. Shelly is self-employed as an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and nonprofit consultant.  Shelly and her partner, Joe, have four kids and are parishioners at St. Francis of Assisi.
